Greenest Student

Students from fifth period and seventh period scoured the school with surveys, trying to determine who would fit our category of the greenest student. Our work has led us to Andrea Alfonso. Here is an excerpt of an article that features Andrea exceptional dedication to the earth:

Andrea Alfano is a student who ranked environmental issues; particularly animals related ones as number one. She would like to bike to school everyday. However, her parents force her to take the school bus because she has no one to bike with.

Adopt-a-Bin

Students adopt a recycling bin in each classroom. The student takes care of the bin, empties it regularly and promotes other classmates to recycle. This program has been a huge success with many teachers requesting that their class rooms be assigned bins as well.

Student Action Plans

From action against puppy mills, to fight for the Yellow Stone Wolves, the students in our environmental classes are planning, designing, and putting to work their very own environmental action plans.
